We're glad you've taken the initiative and want to do what's best for your pup, but maybe the problem isn't the advice, but all of the little factors surrounding your dog! See, books and websites have one tragic flaw: they're based on a perfect-case scenario, and won't work on every pooch!

Here at Anelanai, we are proud to offer the best obedience training in the Middle Georgia area. If you're looking for superior training and service, come to us, not a box store! Anelanai's process is better for a myriad of reasons, but here are a few to get you started:

• Private Classes. At Anelanai, obedience training is taught in a set of 6 week private classes--just you, family members and the dog, we will meet once a week for approximately an hour to an hour and a half. EVERY dog comes in at a different level and with different issues; private classes are catered to each dogs' specific needs/problems. Additionally, if something comes up and you can not make it to a class, you can just call us and you won't lose the class. You may either pay up front or we offer payment arrangements for weekly classes.


• A Wealth of Knowledge. Yes, at the end of our training, your dog will be taught heel, sit, stay, down, come, and no jumping (and that's just for starters!). But with over 80 years of combined experience under our belt, we also address all behavioral issues you might be having--including chewing, housebreaking, aggressiveness.


• You're buildling a relationship, not a response. We're training YOU, not the DOG! Well, yes, we're training the dog, but often, they're the easier ones to train over their humans! Problems often start with incorrect or incomplete training from the human's side. We're here to help you fix that. Also, we don't, and will never, use food! In obedience training with Anelanai, you will use your voice because you'll always have that--and you won't ever need to worry about running for a "treat"! We are not like chain pet store classes where you sit in a circle and feed your dog! As a result, your pups will learn more in our 6 week class than 32 weeks at the chain pet store classes.

• We work with dogs of all ages and backgrounds.At Anelanai, we believe the sooner training is started, the better for your dog and your family. We start puppies at 10-12 weeks of age, before they develop problems. We like to train "rescue" dogs within 5-7 days of adoption when they are still at the "honeymoon stage" and aren't quite sure & comfortable yet. (This is the optimum time to establish control, boundaries & structure. If you wait until they are "comfortable" the dog has the "upper paw" and starts reverting back to the behavior that got him into rescue to begin with! It's typically NOT the dogs' fault--they've probably had no training or enough attention paid to them and tragically, the previous owners just passed the problem on. But as new owners you must take control of the situation--offering food, security and trust; and at the same time establishing the boundaries that will make him a wonderful pet. This is just as important as the adoption process!)

What you put into the training is what you'll get out of it. This one is pretty standard and self-explanitory, but while we're with you for an hour a week, that time is only a baseline for the great things you can expect from your pup! We're confident that if you commit to excellence for not just an hour a week, but in spending time with your pooch daily according to our training, you will reap emotional and relational rewards you never thought possible!
